Everything at Vintage Woodworks Inc. is made from solid wood, handcrafted millwork with attention to detail unsurpassed in the field. We produce historically accurate windows, doors, storefronts, mouldings and other millwork.

Selected as the supplier of choice for numerous historical restoration and renovation projects many of which are listed on the Provincial and National Register of Historic Places in Canada. We are able to manufacture replica windows, doors and storefronts as well as the same units with greater thermal efficiency.

CRAFTSMANSHIP

The era spanning 1870 to 1940 is one of the most architecturally significant in British Columbia and Canada encompassing three identifiable periods of millwork distinguished by astoundingly beautiful and elaborate industrial wood craftsmanship.  Vintage Woodworks compiles and interprets designs from historic trade catalogs, period trade journals and archived architectural drawings to be able to extend that beauty and craftsmanship for future generations.

ESTABLISHED

Vintage Woodworks Inc. was established in 1980 by Jim Stiven, a young man with a passion for millwork and the preservation of historical architecture. As the company grew so did the need for skilled journeymen. Ken Coley-Donohue joined Vintage Woodworks in 1990 and brought with him exceptional joinery and woodworking skills combined with knowledge of modern technology and business resourcefulness. Today, Ken is the President of Vintage Woodworks which has grown to a 25 person, 14,000 square foot shop.
